Ali's Online Baby Shower!!

Since Ali is not able to be back for a shower we decided to throw her an online shower! She has registered at a store in Brussels called Premaman. You have the option for Ali and Shannon to pick up your gift in the store when you order. Ali actually prefers this as she must be at her house for any packages to be delivered. The website is http://www.premaman.com/wapr/en/index.jsp Birth List - give a present. Enter in Fisher for Mother's last name and Meyer for Father's. They were not able to register for baby clothes (some sort of policy over there) so Ali said if you were interested in buying clothes to just pick out for yourself. Ali's sister in law Kathy also has a site in which she makes baby items. You can purchase something from her and she will get this shipped to Ali and Shannon. Her site is http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5504651.

They will also be back this Fall or around Christmas time if you would just like to wait until then.

Thanks Missy and Tarah for doing this...it's very thoughtful of you! I'd be happy to send you updates from time to time so you can change the blurb and picture on the right, as I'm sure people will get a kick out of seeing me get fatter and fatter! HA HA

Ali's Updates...

I'm officially less than 3 weeks away from my due date and getting more excited by the day! I'm currently writing this update while I'm in Prague (Czech Republic). I decided I couldn't let Shannon go without me to his Deloitte conference in Prague since we'd probably never get back here. Anyway, I've still been feeling pretty good. I get the occasional heart burn, but it's not too bad, along with some crazy leg cramps in the middle of the night which I wake up screaming at Shannon to massage! I'm still walking a lot and thankfully not getting too swollen. I have a Doctor's appointment on June 29th, so we'll see how she's progressing, so far I believe she's on track to be 7 - 8 lbs.

This may sound funny, but we brought a diaper bag with us to Prague just in case we had a surprise; though, we didn't bring a car seat, so that might be a problem! We're praying she doesn't come early, but thought we'd better be half-way prepared! Instead of flying which would have been a lot easier, if I wasn't pregnant, we decided to drive the 9 1/2 hours from Brussels to Prague. We stopped over in Nuremberg, Germany on our way here, but plan on doing the whole 9+ hours in one day when we return to Belgium. I brought several pillows with me to make sure I'm comfortable in the car as my back sometimes hurts from sitting too long. It's been nice reclining the seat and putting my feet up on the dashboard as well; Shannon thinks I have it made!

A few weeks ago, we finally put up the crib and baby dresser / changing table in our extra bedroom. It's starting to look more like a baby's room, especially after we took down the beer signs! I still need to figure out some decorations to liven up the room because we can't paint our apartment walls and everything currently looks a bit too white. Her bedding has a lot of pink in it and we also put some cute flower stickers on her white dresser, so that gives the room some color. The room is a bit crowded since we have a queen size bed in it still which I'll be sleeping in for awhile once the baby arrives. We figured when we have guests we'll stay in the baby's room and our friends can use our bedroom.
